​Yoga Tone® Stretch & Mobility Instructor Training

This comprehensive one-day training is designed for fitness instructors, health care professionals, massage therapists, teachers, those who work with the aging population, and anyone interested in developing accessible tools for health and longevity. The training will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to incorporate gentle stretching and yin yoga into their practice and instruction, promoting overall well-being and mobility for all types of participants.

Topics covered include:

Introduction to Gentle Stretching and Yin Yoga
Understanding the principles and benefits of gentle stretching and yin yoga, focusing on long-held, passive poses that target the connective tissues.

Anatomy and Physiology
Exploring the musculoskeletal system, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and mobility for overall health.

Breathwork and Mindfulness
Techniques to integrate breath awareness and mindfulness into stretching routines to enhance relaxation and effectiveness.

Demonstration and Practice
Hands-on practice of key stretches and yin yoga poses, with modifications for different abilities and needs.

Sequencing and Class Design
How to create effective and safe class sequences that cater to diverse populations, including the aging and those with limited mobility.

Use of Props
Incorporating props such as blocks, straps, and bolsters to support participants and enhance their practice.

Working with Special Populations
Strategies for adapting stretches and poses for older adults, individuals with chronic conditions, and those recovering from injuries.

Integrating Stretch and Mobility into Various Settings
Practical tips for incorporating these techniques into fitness classes, therapy sessions, school programs, and community workshops.

Practice Teaching

A small group session where participants have the opportunity to practice what we've learned throughout the day. Q&A is incorporated here and afterward.
